What does it truly mean to trust someone? It means willingly placing a pin into their hands.
We often allow ourselves to be pinned down to circumstances or others' expectations. They might choose the most exquisite needle for us — one made of gold and tipped with a luxurious ruby — but that doesn't stop it from being a needle. Our beauty becomes frozen; we turn into someone’s perfect exhibit, but in doing so, we surrender our freedom and our flight. Sometimes, our wings simply cannot bear this tension and shatter.
Yet, look closely at this tiny space of canvas: we do not give up. We painstakingly rebuild what was lost out of sharp nails and delicate threads. This artificial framework becomes our scar, but also our pride.
"Trust" is never about safety. It is about our wild, breathtaking courage to let others hold us close, hoping that this precious pin won't pierce us straight through the heart.
