TRAVNYTSIA is the Healer from my TINI RODU series, deeply rooted in the traditions of the Ukrainian motanka doll. She stands for the part of a woman that knows how to care for and support others, often in ways that go unnoticed. This painting is my way of honoring women who heal not only bodies, but also hearts and souls.

The Symbolism

The Motanka Cross: The cross across her face serves as a sacred protective symbol to shield against evil and connect the spiritual and earthly realms.

Background Embroidery: The traditional geometric pattern acts as a layer of memory, continuity, and ancestral protection.

Sacred Plants & Herbs:

Calendula: Symbolizes warmth, protection, and resilience.
Yarrow: Stands for healing, boundaries, and inner strength.
St. John's Wort: Represents light, protection against dark forces, and enduring feminine strength passed down through generations.
