TRANSFORMATION 160 (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by GORAZD BRAČUN

Transformation 160 is part of my ongoing Transformation series, exploring personal change, emotional depth, and the quiet movement between different states of being.

Created through an intuitive layering of acrylic, this work is immersed almost entirely in shades of blue. Deep navy, cobalt, turquoise, and soft icy blues build a dense, atmospheric surface filled with countless delicate marks and subtle variations. The layers seem to ripple and dissolve into one another, creating a sense of depth that invites the eye to wander through the painting.

The monochromatic palette gives the work a contemplative and almost immersive quality. To me, the many overlapping marks represent the layers of experience we carry within us—memories, emotions, struggles, and moments of clarity. None disappear completely; they become part of what we eventually transform into.

I created this painting without a predetermined image, allowing instinct and movement to guide the process. Painting is my meditation, and the repetitive gestures brought a deep sense of calm and presence. I hope the viewer can pause before the work, become absorbed in its texture, and experience their own moment of quiet reflection.
