Original artwork description
Transformation 159 is part of my ongoing Transformation series, a personal exploration of change, renewal, and the quiet process of becoming something new.
This painting developed intuitively through layers of acrylic, with fluid horizontal gestures creating a surface that seems to ripple and breathe. Deep teal, turquoise, forest green, blue, and muted earth tones flow into one another, while subtle flashes of yellow and warm orange appear beneath the surface like glimpses of light.
The composition evokes the feeling of looking into moving water or a landscape reflected on its surface, but it is not intended to depict a specific place. Instead, the shifting forms suggest an inner landscape—constantly moving, changing, and revealing something different with every moment.
For me, transformation is often quiet. It happens beneath the surface before it becomes visible. I created this work without a predetermined image, allowing instinct and movement to guide the painting. The process became a form of meditation, and I hope the viewer can experience the same sense of calm, depth, and discovery when looking into the work.
