Transformation 158 is part of my ongoing Transformation series, exploring personal change, emotional evolution, and the constant movement between opposing forces within us.
The painting developed intuitively through repeated horizontal gestures and layered applications of acrylic. Deep blues, turquoise, violet, muted green, and flashes of intense red create a dynamic field that feels almost in motion. The rhythmic marks give the surface a sense of flow, while intersecting diagonal lines introduce tension and direction, cutting across the composition like traces of decisions, encounters, and turning points.
The contrast between cool and warm colours reflects the complexity of transformation: calm and intensity, uncertainty and clarity, resistance and release existing at the same time. Nothing in the composition remains completely still.
As with my wider practice, I created this work without a predetermined image. I allowed instinct and movement to guide each layer, turning the painting process into a form of meditation. I hope the viewer can feel that movement and discover their own emotional journey within the shifting colours and textures.
