TRANSFORMATION 154 (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by GORAZD BRAČUN

Transformation 154 is part of my ongoing Transformation series, exploring personal change, emotional evolution, and the journey towards inner balance.

This painting developed intuitively through layers of acrylic, with thousands of expressive marks creating a rich, almost fluid surface. Deep blues and turquoise dominate the composition, while flashes of green, yellow, red, and violet emerge from within the darker layers. The colours seem to move across the canvas, creating a sense of depth, energy, and continuous transformation.

For me, transformation is about learning to move through complexity without losing yourself. The contrasting colours represent different emotions and experiences coexisting within us—darkness and light, calm and intensity, uncertainty and clarity.

As with my wider practice, the process was deeply meditative. I began without a fixed image or destination, allowing instinct and movement to guide each layer. I hope the work invites the viewer to slow down, explore its hidden details, and discover their own emotional landscape within it.
