Original artwork description
Transformation 153 is part of my ongoing Transformation series, a deeply personal exploration of change, emotional growth, and the search for inner balance.
The painting developed intuitively through countless layers and small, energetic marks of acrylic. Dark blues, earthy reds, greens, violets, and flashes of luminous yellow create a dense, almost dreamlike surface. Hidden forms seem to appear and disappear within the layers, inviting the viewer to look deeper and discover something different each time.
For me, transformation is rarely obvious. Much of it happens beneath the surface, quietly and gradually, before we recognise how much we have changed. The contrasting areas of light and darkness in this work reflect that process—the moments of confusion, struggle, discovery, and unexpected clarity.
Painting this piece was a meditative experience. I allowed the colours, textures, and gestures to develop without a predetermined image, trusting the process to reveal what needed to emerge. I hope the viewer can enter this atmosphere and find their own story within it.
