Artwork description
The train wrecks in Uyuni are the remains of a 19th century British-Bolivian rail transportation network for minerals destined to far away ports on the Pacific coast.
I took these (it's part of a set of 4) during my very first photographic trip outside Europe. It was the beginning of a three-month backpacking journey from Havana all the way down to Ushuaia. I hardly remember ever feeling so free in my life.
