Two candles stand close together. Their flames are different, and yet they burn at the same moment. They are not identical; each candle has its own story, its own path—and yet they share the same moment together.
The traces of melting wax speak of transience. One of the two will come to an end sooner. It is a quiet, poignant moment that reminds us how precious the time we have together is—and how important it is to experience this moment mindfully. Burning together does not mean being together forever, but rather accompanying one another on the journey, warming and supporting one another for as long as possible.
The multi-layered background opens up in the upper right into a bright, transparent expanse. Light, colorful elements seem to float there, as if the gaze were moving beyond the visible into a larger space. It remains unclear what begins there—a continuation, a transition, perhaps something we cannot explain.
Set against this open space is the black, framed checkered pattern. It creates a stark contrast and serves as a reminder of the finiteness of our existence. The two candles burn down together, yet one ends first, while the other lingers for a moment longer.
