In this painting, I am not depicting a specific interior, but using still objects to suggest the presence of time. The empty armchair, the closed book, and the resting glasses imply an absent figure, while quietly preserving human traces. The flowers by the window represent vitality in the present moment, contrasting with the stillness of the room.
Technically, I use thick paint and loose, expressive brushstrokes, allowing forms to remain unstable and layered. Color accuracy is secondary to emotional tone and light. Visible brush marks and textured surfaces turn the painting itself into a record of accumulated time.
