Tidal Framework is an original large-scale abstract diptych from my Oceanic Geometry series, created in 2026. The work consists of two vertical acrylic paintings, each measuring 140 × 80 cm, conceived as a single architectural composition where the movement of water meets the precision of constructed space.

While creating this diptych, I was thinking about the visual language of coastal architecture — vertical structures rising beside open water, reflections breaking across a surface, and strong geometric forms softened by constant movement. I wanted the two canvases to feel connected, yet not symmetrical: like two different viewpoints of the same imagined coastal environment.

The left panel is dominated by luminous powder blue, ocean blue, white and soft grey, interrupted by a dramatic field of deep black and warm brown. In the second panel, sand beige, cream, blue-grey, charcoal and black create a warmer architectural atmosphere. Subtle ochre and bronze-brown accents introduce warmth and connect the two compositions.

I built the paintings through multiple layers of professional acrylic paint, working with palette knives, brushes, scraping, glazing and expressive gestural marks. Broad geometric areas establish the structure, while irregular textured passages, vertical drips, fine linear marks and spontaneous strokes disrupt that order. This contrast between controlled geometry and expressive surfaces is central to my Oceanic Geometry series.

At the meeting points of the vertical and horizontal forms, the paint becomes more energetic and fragmented. These intersections suggest reflections, changing water, architectural edges and traces of movement without describing a literal landscape. From a distance, the diptych appears structured and balanced; viewed closely, its layered surfaces reveal numerous smaller gestures and textural details.

For me, Tidal Framework represents the moment when something permanent meets something constantly changing — architecture against water, structure against movement. The two canvases function as independent paintings, but together they create a continuous visual rhythm that travels from one panel to the other.

With a combined width of approximately 160 cm before spacing, this large blue and neutral abstract diptych creates a strong statement in spacious contemporary interiors. Its combination of ocean blue, beige, black, white and warm earthy accents works particularly well in modern, minimalist, coastal contemporary, Japandi, architectural and luxury interiors, including living rooms, entrance halls, offices, hotels and contemporary residences.
