Three Domes Photograph by Basel Almisshal

Three white domes rise against a clear Omani sky, their surfaces carried by carved filigree that turns solid masonry into lace. I photographed them in the flat clarity of midday, when the ornament reads at full strength and the domes hold the frame like a chord of three notes.

The image belongs to my mosque series, a lifelong study of Islamic architecture from geometric ornament to sacred space. As an architect I am drawn to the discipline beneath the beauty: repetition, proportion and light doing exactly what they were designed to do.

This is a museum-quality giclee print on archival fine art paper, made from the original high-resolution file, signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Each print is produced to exhibition standard and shipped rolled in a protective tube.
