Three And a Half Pears (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Holly Wojahn

I always love returning to this subject; a Tablescape, filled with objects, flowers, and color. In this case, I was inspired by the palette and feeling of the Dining Area in my own California Home. I personally can never have enough Handpicked Wildflowers spilling out of vases and jars arranged around the rooms.

One of my favorite details to include is an open book, for which I typically create some original text. In this case, the open page reads,
“Hearts are Open
To the Light
I’ll see you in
My Dreams tonight.”

Birds seem to show up in my work, whenever I’m nearing my departure from one continent, heading home to the other. The edges of this canvas are painted, so that the piece can be hung unframed if preferred.
