Original artwork description
This flowerpot is located on the top floor of my house, at the top of the stairs. It has two plants, one with heart-shaped leaves and the other with arrowhead-shaped leaves. Behind it is a net that my Westie puppy used to put up when she was little. The plant must have been there to protect people from that small drop in the stairwell. The flowerpot is white and made of woven reeds, like a nest, but when I painted it, its light emanated from the leaves and the surrounding area, like illumination as you ascend. The arrowhead-shaped leaves have also disappeared under layers of ink and acrylic paint.
