The river distance (2026) Original Oil Painting by Olga Goryunova
70 x 50 x 2cm (unframed)
£684.68
Original artwork description
This landscape was painted on the banks of the Kama River, in those picturesque places that are very close to my heart. The work was created en plein air, under a cloudy sky.
On that day, nature was particularly restrained in its colors: clouds softly covered the horizon, and the light became diffused and gentle. It is in such weather that the river reveals its most intimate beauty — there are no bright glares, no hurry, only a calm flow and the silent greenery of the riverside shore.
I wanted to convey that special state of contemplation when time seems to slow down, and the soul is filled with quiet joy from unity with nature. This work carries my love for the vast expanses of the Kama and that sense of peace that this land gives me.
