Original artwork description
This drawing is silence itself — a monologue with the soul.
It is inspired by one of the most powerful images from the New Testament, described in the Book of Revelation. In heaven, God holds a book containing the mysteries of the future, sealed with seven seals. These seven seals symbolize the highest level of secrecy, authority, and legitimacy. No one in the universe was worthy or capable of opening and reading this book. Then, at the center of the throne, the Lamb appears — symbolizing the crucified yet resurrected Christ — bearing seven horns and seven eyes. He alone is worthy to take the book and break its seals. With each seal that is opened, new events are revealed upon the Earth.
In my work, the Lamb is not presented only in its traditional form, but as a dual image, appearing also as an innocent child. His body is fragile and vulnerable, yet his eyes reveal the truth of the entire world. They seem to perceive what we fail to notice in the haste of everyday life.
Looking into those eyes, the viewer is invited to reflect upon a simple yet profound question: Who are we in this life? And why are we here?
This drawing is less about providing answers and more about creating a moment of contemplation — a quiet encounter between faith, mystery, and the human soul.
This work was awarded a Honorary Mention in Annual World Art Academy contest 2021
