Contemporary abstract figure painting — I created this expressive female figure emerging from fluid beautiful colors of soft turquoise, aqua, ochre, coral, and touches of deep blue. The dreamlike atmosphere allows the subject and her surroundings to almost become one. I worked intuitively with layered acrylic, loose brushwork, translucent passages, and spontaneous marks to give the surface a sense of movement and discovery. The result is a contemporary figurative artwork with a quiet, introspective presence.
