The pine hill (2025) Original Watercolour by Olga Goryunova

This landscape was born from a fleeting impression during a journey along the Kama River. Looking from the deck at the high, forested bank, I saw not just an autumn slope, but a living illustration from a magical storybook.

Autumn has generously painted this hill, intertwining emerald greens with warm gold and deep, mysterious shadows. The intricate silhouettes of the trees create an enigmatic, almost mystical atmosphere. It feels as if ancient legends are hidden within this dense thicket, and the forest itself breathes with a quiet, captivating magic.

Watercolor was the perfect medium to capture this elusive, fairytale reality, where the paint flows freely across the paper, creating a true sense of wonder.
