Original artwork description
The subtle nuances between opaque, bold, and translucent, delicate layers of color open up “the path to red” in the image and give creativity free rein. Various shades of deep red, beige, orange-gray, pink, white, and black combine with chalk lines and typographic scratch marks to form a multi-layered visual language.
I let the works grow in multiple layers—only to alter them again the next moment: by dismantling them, washing them out, painting over them, or deliberately destroying, scratching, and breaking them apart. The joy of rebuilding becomes all the more intense the more complex and vibrant the process unfolds with its numerous accents and details.
Even as the work takes shape, I immerse myself deeply in a world of emotions that carries and enlivens me throughout the entire creative process. The foundation emerged from various materials that were able to unfold their own dynamics through the free play of thoughts
