The Long Way Through (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Linda Coppens

The painting unfolds across the surface through a succession of interruptions, overlaps and open passages. Burgundy, olive and ochre gather and separate within a pale, worked field, creating movement without settling around a single centre.
Rather than balancing one dominant form against a quieter echo, The Long Way Through allows several areas to hold their own. The eye moves gradually between them, discovering connections that remain provisional and slightly unsettled. The result feels expansive despite its intimate scale: active, layered and open to more than one way of being read.
