Original artwork description:

This is a view of the Maze Hill Hotel and Park at St Leonards, East Sussex. I was drawn to the deep gradient of the park and the height of the surrounding hotels with the view to the sea beyond. The painting depicts a woman who has just received a letter she has been waiting to for from the postman, does it bring her good fortune or not?
