The Jetty Photograph by Basel Almisshal

Seen from directly above, the jetty becomes a line drawn across turquoise water: a single dark stroke against a field of colour that shifts from shallow aqua to deep blue. I made this photograph by drone, looking straight down, so the scene reads as composition first and place second.

Aerial work is where my training as an architect meets photography most directly. From above, the world flattens into plan view: edges, geometry, and the marks people leave on water and land. The swimmers and boats along the jetty give the abstraction its scale and its life.

This is a museum-quality giclee print on archival fine art paper, made from the original high-resolution file, signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Each print is produced to exhibition standard and shipped rolled in a protective tube.
