A river valley blazes in impossible reds and golds, its terraced fields and scattered trees arranged like a vivid fever dream of the Armenian highlands. Boulders and river stones anchor the fiery foreground while the land cascades upward in bold bands of crimson, cobalt, yellow, and violet — colors pushed far beyond the natural yet utterly convincing in their emotional truth. Two tiny golden deer, etched like petroglyphs into the lower right, whisper of an ancient world still alive beneath this modern landscape. Monumental in scale, primal in feeling.
