The Duo. Work from the “Codependency” series. (2025) Original Oil Painting by Irina Smirnova-Seymour

50 x 70 x 1.5cm (unframed) / 50 x 70cm (actual image size)

£2,500

This contemporary figurative painting brings together music and art, the female figure, and nature, transforming an ordinary moment into luminous poetic painting. Through symbolism, vibrant colour, expressive painting, contemporary impressionism, and the presence of birds, I wanted to capture a feeling of freedom and inner harmony.

A woman plays her flute while the birds seem to answer with their song — together they create the “Duet.” For me, this painting is about those rare moments when we no longer feel separate from the world around us. Music becomes an invisible language between human and nature — light, free and understood without words.
