The Drowned Forest Photograph by Basel Almisshal

91.44 x 60.96cm (unframed)

£843.62

I made this aerial photograph directly above a drowned forest, where bleached crowns rise through still, mineral-blue water scattered like frost across a mirror of reflected cloud. The frame holds two worlds at once: the trees read as pure pattern, and the sky returned by the water beneath them.

The image belongs to my aerial studies of fragile landscapes, environments in slow transformation where water, weather and time redraw the land. From across a room it reads as abstraction; up close it resolves into hundreds of individual trees, each holding its place in the pattern.

This is a museum-quality giclee print on archival fine art paper, made from the original high-resolution file, signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Each print is produced to exhibition standard and shipped rolled in a protective tube.
