I wanted to capture that quiet, happy moment when you’re finally about to sit down and enjoy a treat. I used thick, heavy brushstrokes to give the frosting a real sense of texture, making it feel almost sculptural and good enough to eat. I love the way the deep red of the cherry pops against those soft, cool blues in the background. To me, this piece is a tribute to those little indulgences that make an ordinary day feel a bit more special.
