- The Carrier
Original artwork description
The Carrier presents a figure that does not simply exist, but holds something within itself. It appears both as a body and as a kind of vessel, as if something passes through it or is contained inside it, something that goes beyond the figure itself.
The figure is shown frontally and calmly, almost like a sign or an icon. Its form is simplified: the body feels unified, built as a single mass, while soft color areas inside suggest something alive, hidden, and being held.
A small object placed above the head resembles a vessel or a symbolic form that the figure seems to carry or balance. It introduces a quiet sense of meaning, something present but not fully explained.
This work is not about expressing emotion directly, but about a state, the ability to hold, to contain, and to carry something essential, even if it cannot be clearly defined.
