I am interested in how a painting can hold opposing energies at the same time. In this work, darker and lighter forms move across the surface, sometimes colliding, sometimes dissolving into one another.
The image developed gradually through layers of paint, without a predetermined outcome. What remained was a balance between structure and uncertainty, between what appears and what fades away.
