THALASSA (2026) Original Mixed-media Painting by Johna Gussoni

73 x 103 x 3cm (framed)

£2,586

The work is created using 1.800 recycled tobacco sticks and serves as a reflection on the relationship between human behaviour, the environment and our daily responsibilities.
The composition, built around shades of blue, represents an upward movement: the golden pieces rise upwards, gradually dissolving, leaving more and more space for ocean. This transformation symbolises a journey of liberation and awareness, in which material loses its weight to allow a purer, more essential space to emerge.

Materials used:

paint, tobacco, paper, cellulose, resin
