Tenderness (2026) Original Watercolour by Natalia Butenko

36 x 51 x 1cm (unframed)

£251.47

““Tenderness” is a delicate and poetic watercolor landscape centered around a fragile lotus flower in bloom. Its soft pink petals seem to glow from within, emerging through a swirl of green leaves dissolved in a translucent, misty haze. The lines and forms are intentionally blurred, evoking the movement of air and the subtle breath of nature.
The flower feels alive and tremulous, as if reaching out toward the viewer, gently pushing through the veil of fog and surrounding foliage. The space of the painting is filled with quietness and diffused light—free of sharp contrasts, composed instead of smooth transitions of tone and mood.
The work conveys a sense of calm, inner harmony, and solitude, inviting the viewer to slow down and immerse themselves in contemplation, where tenderness becomes the primary language of nature.
