As we tramped across the common, through the fog we heard voices of people we never saw. Sitting by the monuments it seemed like we were enclosed in a dreamscape. Shrouded in fog and mystery, the drama of these ancient burial chambers tell a story about the land and how people have held it sacred for millennia. I have tried to capture something of the resilience to change of these works of environmental art by using earth based colours.
