Sunny Lemons (2026) Original Watercolour by Yuliia Prokopchuk

This painting is part of my tropical series, in which I explore plants I have encountered during my travels.

This time, I was drawn to a lemon tree — its rich green foliage, bright yellow fruits, and a delicate little blossom against a clear blue sky. I loved the almost striking contrast of colours: the warm yellow of the lemons surrounded by the cool blue of the sky.

I worked from photographs I took during my travels, trying to preserve the feeling of a warm, sunny day and that special joy of finding yourself surrounded by southern greenery.

My work is a unique and original handmade piece.
