There is something mesmerizing about the delicate yet dramatic structure of a poppy in full bloom. Sunkissed poppies was inspired from a desire to capture that exact moment of transformation—when paper-thin, ruffled petals unfurl to reveal a vibrant, radiant heart.
Working with oils allowed me to build rich, luminous layers and deep, sculptural shadows within the intricate folds. By zooming in close, I wanted to turn these organic forms into a immersive landscape of light, warmth, and texture—contrasting grounded terracotta, rust, and clay tones against glowing golden highlights and soft, cool backgrounds. It is a celebration of nature’s quiet drama, intricate details, and resilient beauty.

Supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
