Sun Rose (2026) Original Watercolour by Yuliia Prokopchuk

This rose became an embodiment of warm autumn for me — those days when the sunlight is softer, the air turns cooler, yet nature still generously gives us its colours.

The petals combine warm golden-yellow, pink and lilac shades, creating the feeling of gentle autumn light. I wanted to capture not only the beauty and complexity of the rose’s form, but also that special sense of calm and warmth that comes with the last sunny days before winter arrives.

Each petal was carefully painted by hand in watercolour, with attention to the smallest details, texture and natural movement of the flower. The white space surrounding the rose highlights its form and allows the colours to remain the main focus of the work.
