This is a fairly large painting on canvas.

Summer Tree 1 is part of a collection of impressionist style dotty. pointillist tree paintings. The surface is covered in millions of overlaid dots. These paintings take quite a long time to complete as each layer has to dry before the next can be added. The initial impression says purples blues and browns. However, look closely and you will see many more colours woven in to the design.
The surface is slightly textured underneath the paint. In some places I have allowed the tree branches to follow the texture creating a very subtle 3D effect . This becomes more apparent in certain lighting conditions.

The painting is in acrylic. it has a couple of layers of UV varnish to seal and protect the surface. The sides are painted black. It comes ready to hang, and is signed on the back.
