Summer Sentinel (2025) Original Oil Painting by Andres Portillo

This original impasto oil painting captures the serene beauty of a sprawling tree standing sentinel in a sun-drenched meadow. Thick, textured brushstrokes bring the lush green foliage and dappled white blossoms to life against a vibrant summer sky filled with soft clouds. The composition leads the eye from the shadowed foreground, through wild grasses, to the majestic canopy that frames the distant horizon — evoking a profound sense of peace, timelessness, and connection to nature.

Painted with rich, layered oils on canvas, the work celebrates the play of light and shadow in a rural landscape. Ideal for lovers of impressionistic landscapes, contemporary nature art, or statement pieces that bring the outdoors inside.
