Composition

The composition is built in horizontal layers:

sky → distant shore → mid-ground → water → large foreground stones.

This creates a very stable structure.

The large light stone in the lower left works especially well - it introduces the viewer into the picture and creates the foreground.

Picturesqueness

One of the main advantages.

The brushstroke is quite bold, but at the same time the form remains readable. The water areas are especially successful - there is a sense of movement, reflection and color change.

I use a color brushstroke well instead of literal drawing.
