Strawberries XX (2018) Original Mixed-media Painting by Hannah Bruce

This luscious number is part of my series of strawberry paintings. Painting strawberries is an art form, for sure! There is a uniform pattern for the seeds, which resonates with the viewer. The berries themselves are also complex, and I plan to keep investigating the vast array of red paints, bringing together light, texture, pattern and close up imagery. This painting was created using a red base, drawn out first in white chalk pen, then using resin based products to create a wonderful surface texture, where a marbling effect is made with some of the colour. The photo on the website is the best professional quality image I could manage, but there is nothing like seeing this painting in the flesh so to speak. An impact statement piece.

This is a graphic style work. On Deep edged canvas and ready to hang straight away. The edges are painted to match the main red colour.

Signed on the front in platinum pen. It has the Bruce family seal and my own crest in wax for authentication on the back.
