Standing fish (Stehfisch) (2014) Original Acrylic Painting by Ralf Schmidt

persönlicher und emotionaler, englisch, 717 Zeichen:
“Standing Fish” is, for me, a painting about the soul and how lost it can sometimes feel in the world. A fish, a creature that belongs to water, stands upright in a dry, almost desert-like landscape. This contradiction is what makes it a symbol for me: we can all find ourselves in places or situations that do not seem to fit what lives inside us. And yet we remain standing, trying to hold our ground and find our way. The textured, open surroundings leave much undefined, functioning both as an outer landscape and as an inner space. The sun is still there, the horizon remains visible, and perhaps this also carries a quiet hope: that even when the conditions of life seem difficult, there is still a way forward.
