“Spring” is a painting about that moment when life begins to move again.
I painted it as a feeling rather than a landscape — the first warmth, new leaves, flowers opening, light returning, and that almost impatient energy of spring when everything seems to wake up at once.
While looking at the finished painting, I started imagining what it would sound like if it had a voice. That idea became the song in the video accompanying this artwork. For me, it is as if the painting itself is singing — another way of expressing the same feeling I tried to capture with colour, rhythm and movement.
The yellows, greens, blues, soft pinks and darker marks appear almost like different notes: some quiet, some playful, some sudden and strong.
Perhaps that is what Spring means to me — not simply a season, but the feeling of coming alive again.
