Original artwork description
Cosmic Lemons invites the viewer to look at an ordinary lemon as if seeing it for the first time — not as a fruit, but as a small celestial world. The composition transforms lemons, slices, leaves, and a turquoise-blue bowl into a quiet universe where golden citrus forms seem to float against the deep, textured darkness.
The intense yellow of the lemons becomes the source of light. Surrounded by cool blues and turquoise tones, each slice resembles a miniature sun, planet, or glowing constellation. The dark background creates the feeling of outer space, while the green leaves bring a living, earthly element into this imagined cosmos.
I chose acrylic on canvas because its saturated colours and expressive brushwork allow me to create this unusual meeting of the familiar and the cosmic. The simplified contemporary style gives the objects a symbolic quality: the lemon becomes more than a lemon — it becomes light, energy, abundance, and the beauty hidden inside everyday life.
I want the viewer to pause and enter this little universe. Perhaps the painting will awaken a memory of summer, sunlight, and the scent of fresh citrus — or simply remind us that even the most ordinary things can contain an entire world when we learn to look at them differently.
The artwork will be carefully and securely packaged using high-quality protective materials to ensure safe international transportation.
Estimated delivery time is 7–10 business days. A tracking number will be provided after shipment, allowing the buyer to follow the delivery status of the package.
