Soft Voice (2026) Original Oil Painting by Lizzie Butler
70 x 50 x 2cm (unframed) / 70 x 47cm (actual image size)
£1,600
Original artwork description
Dreamy and ethereal oil painting.
A summer's evening beach walk, as the sun sits low on the horizon. The heat of the day is receding and the remaining orange sunlight is reflected in the water of low tide.
Many gauzy layers of oil paint have been gradually built up to create this atmospheric artwork. The balck stones in the foreground have a glossy finish, to suggest the water of the recent tide.
Oil paint on stretched canvas.
Edges of the canvas left a clean white (please see additional photo).
Strung and ready to hang.
Signed on the rear and Certificate of Authenticity provided.
Lizzie Butler is a contemporary British painter.
She has exhibited at Leighton House Museum, Kensington, London and at several London galleries. She has also exhibited internationally, with oil paintings shown in Washington, USA and her etchings exhibited in Japan.
Her works are currently on show at the Amy Kaslow Gallery, Washington DC.
Lizzie's work can be found in collections in America, New Zealand, Hong Kong, the UK and across Europe, with several customers returning to buy further pieces and place commissions.
"I can't rate my recent purchase highly enough. The painting is delightful - its depiction and description both entirely accurate, communication prompt and the painting beautifully wrapped. Every part a pleasure. I highly recommend her." (CO)
