Inspired by snow-covered red rock country, I contrasted brilliant white snow with the warmth of the earth. Through simplified forms and expressive brushwork, I wanted to capture the quiet energy of winter sunlight, where cold and warmth coexist in harmony.
I layered paint with expressive brushstrokes and bold color masses, contrasting rich reds, crisp whites, and cool gray-blues. The visible textures and spontaneous marks create rhythm, depth, and a contemporary expressive character.
