Newborn Baby Black Rhino - Inspired by a visit to Twycross zoo - this baby black Rhino was only a few weeks old and such a special arrival as Black Rhino's are critically endangered - Soft warm tones are used to frame the Rhino while a variety of cool tones are used to depict the Rhino. Directional marks are used to indicate life and movement. This painting was shortlisted for a prize at the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the year exhibition 2019.
