Original artwork description
Geometric forms drift and interlock across a dusty blue background — some grounded, some appearing to float free of the surface entirely. The composition draws on architectural drawing and the logic of built space, translating structural thinking into paint.
The shapes are layered, scraped and reworked over multiple sessions. Against this the precise dark line work creates a tension between the analytical and the painterly. Colour appears sparingly and deliberately balancing negative space.
Painted in acrylic on canvas in my Edinburgh studio. Ships ready stretched on deep edge canvas. Certificate of authenticity included.
