A ball of wool, a thread. A skein. The idea of 'spinning' the stone, of visually reducing it to a ball of wool. The flakes take a direction, the skein is crossed by two needles. A reminder of tradition, of thread, of predominantly female work.
The sculpture can be positioned in various ways, so as to have different viewpoints.
