Skating in Central Park Giclée print by Miroslav Sasek

43 x 50cm (unframed)

£78

Watercolour with pen and ink, originally for ‘This is New York’ (1960). This is the Wollman Skating Rink in Central Park, Manhattan, opened in 1949. The trees are a light, burgeoning green and in the forefront, rather as the viewer of the print, a brother and sister watch the skaters. The rink is a favourite haunt for many who live in the city, and of course a poignant memory via ‘Love Story’ (by Eric Segal, and film with Ryan O’Neal and Ali MacGraw) for those who don’t live in New York.

This print is authorised for publication by the artist's Estate and has a seal of authenticity embossed onto the white paper margin. It is from a limited edition of 850 and is hand-numbered and hand-embossed. This print has a typed caption running along its paper border. The caption indicates permission and authorisation from the artist's Estate, and from the museum or gallery holding the work. The caption will be concealed by a mount when the print is framed.

Dispatch time: 5 working days for unframed prints. 14 working days for framed prints.

Materials used:

Giclée print on 310gsm thick, 100% cotton rag.
