Silent Meridian is an original contemporary abstract painting inspired by the quiet meeting point between light, space, and reflection. Created in 2026, this acrylic artwork explores the beauty of simplicity through textured layers, atmospheric depth, and a sophisticated neutral palette.

While creating this painting, I was drawn to the stillness that exists between moments of change. The composition emerged from memories of distant horizons where sky and earth seem to dissolve into one another, leaving only light, texture, and emotion behind. Rather than depicting a specific landscape, I wanted to capture a feeling of calm, balance, and contemplation.

The artwork was developed through multiple layers of acrylic paint using palette knives, brushes, scraping techniques, and expressive mark-making. Rich textures and layered surfaces create depth and visual complexity, while subtle tonal transitions reveal new details as natural light moves across the painting throughout the day.

A refined palette of soft gray, warm beige, ivory white, charcoal black, muted taupe, earthy brown, and touches of ochre creates a timeless and elegant atmosphere. Contrasts between luminous passages and darker forms evoke distant horizons, reflections, weathered surfaces, and architectural memories.
