Silent Guardians (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Edelgard Schroer

Silent Guardians

This original abstract painting by Edelgard Schroer is a deeply textured artwork with a quiet spiritual presence. Warm umbra tones, muted gold, soft grey, earthy brown and subtle blue-green accents create an aged, atmospheric surface full of depth and hidden details.

The composition is built through many layers of acrylic paint, texture medium and delicate relief structures. Cracks, grid-like marks, scraped areas and raised textures give the painting a weathered, almost timeless character. On the right side, two subtle angel figures appear within the surface, like quiet guardians emerging from the layered background. They are not painted in a decorative way, but seem to belong naturally to the structure of the artwork.

The cream shadow gap frame gives the painting a warm, elegant finish and softens the strong material character of the surface. The long horizontal format works beautifully above a sofa, over a sideboard or on a wide wall, where the calm earthy colors and golden accents can unfold their full effect.

Silent Guardians is an original artwork for collectors who appreciate spiritual abstract art, textured surfaces and paintings with a sense of protection, memory and quiet strength.
