Silent Geometry (2026) Original Mixed-media Painting by Sergio Aranda

Original Minimalist Abstract Mixed Media Painting by Sergio Aranda

Silent Geometry explores the delicate balance between structure and spontaneity, combining geometric lines, organic textures, and subtle golden reflections in an elegant contemporary abstract composition.

A richly textured surface unfolds through layers of soft ivory, warm white, muted gray, and delicate hints of powder blue. Subtle metallic gold accents emerge from the textured background, catching the light and revealing beautiful variations across the canvas.

Three bold black lines introduce a striking geometric structure, creating an open, asymmetrical frame that contrasts with the expressive, weathered surface beneath.

The composition brings together the precision of minimalism and the unpredictable beauty of textured painting. Scraped marks, distressed details, and delicate layers give the artwork a quiet sense of history, as though time itself had left its traces on the canvas.

Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, this original mixed media painting celebrates simplicity, imperfection, and the beauty found in aged materials.

The interplay between the restrained geometric elements and the richly worked surface creates an artwork that feels peaceful yet full of depth and character.

“I paint the memory of materials.” — Sergio Aranda
